What began as a call to local artists to acknowledge 100 years of Carthage on Route 66 resulted in a stunning showcase of over 20, 40" x 40" maple leaf cutouts created in partnership with students from the local tech center.
Dozens of artists submitted sketches that have come to life for the delight of tourists and locals alike.
The community is invited to come see all of the leaves in one location during an art walk on the square before they land in their permanent tourist locations across Carthage.
Presented by the Route 66 Subcommittee of Tourism, this open-road gallery is a curated celebration of art, place, and heritage in Carthage.
